Sustainability Command Center

Carbon accounted, not claimed.

A 500kW solar farm, a biogas plant, 10 million litres of rainwater harvesting and a 50,000-tree carbon sink — instrumented, measured and reported to every partner.

Overview

What this zone does

Sustainability at JOETEX is a control room, not a brochure. Energy, water and carbon are metered on the same infrastructure that runs production.

The estate targets 100% renewable operations and a verified carbon-neutral position, with biogas from processing residue closing the gap when solar output dips.

Every buyer receives a carbon-per-tonne figure for their own consignments, drawn from the same meters — reportable straight into their scope 3 accounts.

How It Runs

  1. 01MeterEnergy, water and fuel metered across every zone of the estate.
  2. 02ModelConsumption allocated to blocks, lines and individual consignments.
  3. 03OffsetSequestration from the tree register netted against operational emissions.
  4. 04ReportVerified figures published to buyers and partners each quarter.

Operating Commitments

  • Carbon-per-tonne issued with every export consignment
  • Quarterly verified sustainability reporting to all partners
  • No offset claimed without third-party verification
Capabilities

Inside the zone, end to end

500kW Solar Farm

Grid-independent generation covering estate and packhouse load.

Biogas Recovery

Processing residue converted to energy, closing the waste loop.

Rainwater Harvesting

10M litres captured annually, with 60% water saving against flood irrigation.

Carbon Sink Registry

50,000 trees registered and monitored for verified sequestration.

Per-Consignment Carbon

Buyer-level carbon-per-tonne reporting from metered data.

Verified Reporting

Third-party verification against recognised carbon standards.

Estate Carbon Position

Carbon Negative

Operations emit 374 tCO₂e a year at these settings, against 1,050 tCO₂e sequestered by the registered tree estate — a net position of 676 tCO₂e absorbed.

Every figure here is metered, not estimated — and is what buyers receive per consignment.
